Hi All

Need some advice; I recently bought a handbrake cable for my 1981 Manta GTJ Coupe. It seems its very short. My car has a threaded bar with 2 nuts on it that go either side to secure of the cable. I'm wondering are there 2 different types of cable length? did they change in a certain year? any advice would be great!

Another query, i'm having a red top conversion done and need to know what type of 4 branch manifold I need; will a 2.0 pinto fit?

Regards

Gary

I had an issue with the GT on the Garden of Ireland run. It got a bit hot on one of the climbs and started shooting flames. I don't know how spectacular it was as I didn't have the best of views and no one was quick enough to take pictures. It turned out to be a duff plug which was new so now I have put in a set of NGKs instead of the yellow pack ones I had used. Any way it got me thinking of uprating to electronic ignition and during my search I stumbled on a Dissy pack upgrade for a VW Beetle. You also need the tach adapter. I am fairly certain this will fit the cih as many of the Compufire kits for VW are compatible.
My questions are
Has anyone tried this kit on their CIH or any other engine?
Would it be worth it for a reliable electronic ignition?
Is there any reason not to use it on a cih?
