1983 kadett

Well lads i have a 83 kadett at home and it is badged as a corsa aswell in gold decals, it came with 13 inch opel alloys rev counter and deep dish opel steering wheel What i was wondering was does anyone on here know the history of this model, any help would be great thanks

Ive never heard of a kadett badged as a corsa. I could be wrong but i suspect it has been badged up at some point during its life and that they are not orignal

I thought some one might have known what i was talking about from the description. Its got both a kadett babge on it then the corsa is written in gold with gold pinstriping around the car pics to follow any way

As for the Mk1 Astra, I dont know mate, looks like something that was stuck on after it left the Dealership.

I think I remember that we used to sell those stripes years ago, They came with the name of the car on them , kadett, corsa ,golf etc. So I think that somebody has stuck a corsa one on maybe cos he couldn't get a kadett one and was either impatient/stupid

ya i was thinking that was possible as i'd never heard of a kadett corsa before

Ok, I'm bumping this thread for one reason. I got a few parts today (details as per "Dod's Garage" in the Gallery) and the boot lid looked like this>>>>

There are also matching doors at this persons place, so its possible that the Kadett Corsa was actually a Model sold by Opel.

Aye the doors had the same decals as yours did. I tried Googling a few older Opel Models like the Corsa A but it never brings up anything relavent. Maybe speak to an Opel Dealership and see if they can shed any light on it?

Looks the same alright, but the wheels are slightly different.
Putting corsa on a kadett is certainly strange though.

I think Daragh123's Kadett is an Ultra. It was a limited edition by Bolands in
Newbridge and maybe other dealers, They had those gold stripes,sr clocks and wheels ,wheels in gold and were only in black iirc. There was also a special edition called the cead done by the opel dealer near Celbridge. These too were only in black but were 2 or 4 maybe 3 or 5 door with a red and silver stripe, cead badging, and 4 spoke 13" wheels. Think they had red interiors and 1.2s engine.

The Céad came in Black & had a red/gold narrow strip ( I think ), they had the 1.3 engine, there were only 100 of them in the country hense the Céad name.

Can't help notice you have your car in the kitchen. My wife wont let me bring mine in. It's handy having a roller door to get in and out too. :thumbup1:
