was down in carlow today , in lidil & when i came out i spotted a 96 gold astra near my vectra & it was an old car of mine :thumbup:
96-D-25999

bought this in 1996 in white & delahunty in sallynoggin where i was putting in 2 spraybooths & a few prep areas !

it had only 12.000 miles on it .

it had everything on it & was one of the atlanta edition models ,,

( anyone remember them ? )

anyway nice to see it again after a few years & its still in reasonable condition :)

when i bought it !! all nice an shiney & loved :biggrin:

Remember them served me time on these :doh5: should have listened to me ma i'd be in the clover now!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember the Atlanta Edition, special edition for the Olympics in '96. I have brochures at home on them.
Nice to see an old friend still on the road. :thumbup:

well this car served me well ,brought home james my first son from hospital in it & had it for around 2 & half years .

wendy was driving it home one day from tallaght & on a very bad bend outside blessington a bus was stopped on the blind side of the bend & bang!!!!!!!!!:glare:

she hit the back right corner of a vanhool coach & across the road it went !

took the complete indicator off the bus & the astra & herself came out of it fine .
with only left headlight & wing needing to be replaced !

in my opinion this was the best astra made & i prefer these type to the 98 model .

BTW, did you take the second pic (of your two old astras) from up a tree??!;)

yep !!! thats in my home place in carlow .
& im out of me tree since :lol
