This might be of interest to some of you.
I've got a radio cassette in the Van and the Manta .I play my MP3 player through them using a cassette adaptor ( tried another radio tx but found it no good ) It did a so so job but all those wires all over the place drove me nuts .:(
I seen this on E bay and thought I'd give it a try

Been using it for a couple of weeks now and find it absolutley fantastic. The sound is 1st class with no hiss ,the image quality is very good if you're into MP4 movies etc and although only 2GB it still stores 48 cd's .
The remote is fully functual and easy to use.
Comes with it's own software embedded within ,simply plug in to a USB port and follow the instructions.
All for 12 euro inc  Took 7 days to come from China ,which is better than some deliveries from UK !
So cheap I've ordered another one for the Manta and will just leave it in the car.

Just bought one.
Handy for audio books I download from net. Didn't notice but has it a card slot?

Edit to add: Just noticed it has & takes up to 8gb! No need to remove from car just stick SD card into pc!

Great item, thanks.

I use a Harman Kardon Drive + Play iPod Kit.

I had the original Blaupunkt interface but it was sh!te. I then tried the new Blaupunkt interface and it was nearly as bad.

Knowing what Harman Kardon stuff is like I decided to try this. The display is very clear and you can see all the information from the iPod on it

Harmon Kardon is good gear but for an average headunit that would probably be overkill.

Plus you still got wires !

Good God Peter ,that's in a completely different league to the player I'm talking about.
The unit I mention has a typical Chinese "feel " to it ,it is cheap at 12 euros ( ! ) but I'll tell you, it sounds bloody good.

The HK machine is close to €150 retail. Would like to see it in operation sometime Pete. My stereo that plays CD's & mp3s from SD card and USB pen cost a bout 1/3 of that and thats my best one! If I had a good ICE setup I would look at the HK option (I love HK since I had an AVI100 Amp many years ago) but for now Dans wee yoke is perfect. Hell you can even stick videos on it from youtube!
