A girl in work here want me to change the back springs in her Astra G (mark 4).

I have never looked at these before, and I'm not really fussed on doing it, so was wondering if they have the same set up as the Novas and Corsas? Do I just loosen the shock, drop the spring out and throw the new one in? If it's any more complicated or time consuming than that I'm not going to bother!!!:lol

As far as I remember they're different mate. I did a set a year back for Martina's (my missus) sister, I changed fronts and rears and it only took an hour to do all 4 so you should be alright, its not much of a task.

easy enough job alright, as you say just loosen the bottom bolt on each shock and you'll be able to lower the rear beam enough to pop the springs out. as dod says you could do all 4 in an hour.

I'm planning on changing my rear shocks and springs shortly, as the current ones seem to have gone a bit 'sloppy'?! (03 Astra 5dr hatch 67k miles from new).

Anybody know of a good supplier for same?
And, what would be a good brand to replace the originals?

Ideally Koni or Bilstiens are the job but KYB also do a pretty decent shock so minimal lowering or standard ride height.
